'Stretched out' in the Bible

And Jesus immediately stretched out his hand, and took hold of him, and said to him, Thou of little faith, why didst thou doubt?

And, lo! one of those who were with Jesus stretched out his hand, and drew his sword, and struck the servant of the highpriest, and cut off his ear.

But concerning Israel he saith, "All the day long I have stretched out my hands to a disobedient and rebellious people."
